Align Impact partners with individuals, families, foundations, institutions, and advisors towards this endeavor using three foundational pillars:
Strategy
The first pillar is co-creating an impact investing strategy or plan. Much like creating an architectural plan before building a home, we believe co-creating a strategy is an important piece of your impact investing journey. The strategy is your why, it’s what drives you, what gets you out of bed in the morning. If you could only move the needle on one thing, what would it be and why?
Meet you where you’re at
The second pillar is we want to meet you where you’re at. We want to help your family office, your advisory teams, your external advisors. We want to be part of your solutions, we’re your co-pilot, we’re their co-pilot. We believe you have multiple levers in your toolkit; there isn’t just one, and there isn’t just one that’s right. Everyone’s impact story is going to be their own, and we want to help you move those levers in a way that’s going to drive the change you hope to see in the world.
Investment rigor
Our third pillar is being grounded in investment rigor and intellectual honesty. We believe you have to invest across all asset classes; that you don’t have to sacrifice return. In order to do that it’s important to have a rigorous due diligence process, looking at the macro and the micro. In addition to our internal investment committee that makes final decisions on all investments, we have an 8-person external investment committee of thought leaders, collaborators, people with 15-35 years of experience, so we can challenge ourselves and you can rest assured that we’ve uncovered everything in the marketplace to bring you the best investment options possible. The ultimate goal is a living/breathing portfolio that integrates your values within a disciplined due diligence process, moves the needle on issues you care about, and allows you to achieve your personal, family, social, and environmental impact goals.
Align Impact is a female founded, owned, led, and majority-staffed, SEC-registered independent advisor and certified B Corporation with $2.3 billion of assets under advisement. We specialize in co-creating and implementing impact investing strategies with individuals, families, foundations, institutions, and advisors.
