Alex leads Align’s Public Market practice, overseeing investment research coverage across public market asset classes. His responsibilities include guiding public markets portfolio design and construction, manager due diligence, and market research. He is driven in his work by a belief that capital has the potential to build a better world.
Prior to joining Align, Alex was a Portfolio Manger at Mercer Advisors where he oversaw the ESG program and served on the firm’s Investment Committee. He began his career as an Investment Analyst at First Affirmative, where he was first introduced to the Impact investing ecosystem. Through these roles, he cultivated his passion for delivering cutting edge impact investments to clients.
He is a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business where he earned his MBA with a Financial Analysis concentration and dual undergraduate majors in Finance and Accounting. He is also a CFA Level II candidate. When not working, Alex can be found exploring the mountains of Colorado on skis, bicycle, or foot.
